Funny you say that, because I when I think of the cross; I don't think of Christ defeating death. I think of Him loving us so greatly that He took onto Himself our sufferings unto Himself. Not 'us' as in, the group, 'us', as in every single one of 'us'. Every single one to ever exist, the smallest baby, the greatest king, the beggar in the street, and the last warrior. Because He loves us, He loves you. The only unforgivable sin is to simply, reject the offer of Love, eternal. Not fake modern love, where it's an emotion we feel, but real love, of loving so greatly that you are willing to sacrifice yourself for someone that is not you.
