Nice article. Interesting perspective on envying sinners. Gave me some thoughts to digest, much appreciated. Good luck on writing the book. I have enjoyed the NPC sections I have read. Happy New Year to you as well.

I turned 53 last summer, and I can assure you that you’re nowhere close to finished at 33.

I thought this was Raw Egg Nationalist for the first few paragraphs and was very confused.

If you can formulate a failure plan right now, you'll be able to formulate the same plan if/when the failure happens. It's not like you're coordinating soldiers.

I want to be helpful and supportive here so forgive me but I am wondering:

1. Charity is not a Christian concept. It's been around a while.

2. Writers write. It's that simple. Revision comes after you regurgitate whatever needs to come out (unless you are Charles Bukowski and decide your genius doesn't need revision). I didn't start to write seriously and with focus until I turned forty. You have time. You're even ahead of me and I've been at this now for over thirty years.

3. I obviously have a problem with Christianity (actually all religions) because I spent far too many years looking for answers and hope and eternal life while enmeshed in all sorts of spiritual ideas. I eventually came up, for me at least, with the realization that there is no eternal life and no god who was going to save me from myself. I also avoid those who believe in these myths and want to use the bible as "fact." But I don't judge them as I was there at one time too. Same with alcoholics and drug addicts (thirty-seven years sober). So I'm hoping, and wondering, if your "stack" identifies as being Christian and somehow will become too esoteric for me due to its underlying belief system? In other words, should I subscribe?

Merry late Christmas Randy. Thank you for your continuous gifts of written words, with all its pleasure, pain, and insight.

I read everything on you write on Substack and often wonder why you're one of my favorite living writers. Obviously, you seem to have a lot of technical knowledge, not that I'd really know myself, as I am not studied writer. As I read your work, I'm often reminded of this essay from Rival Voices https://open.substack.com/pub/rivalvoices/p/fuck-it-we-ball-on-rats-postrats?utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

It's your vibe, man. You speak (write) in the voice so many of us men wish we had. That's why dudes envy you, I'm guessing, (well, not me personally, but you have my great admiration).

You probably know this, just wanted to throw in my 2 cents and let you know your hard work means a lot to your fan boys. Really looking forward to the book.

Peace brother. 2024 is our year.
