as far as what gives you the worms…. it’s not the size it’s how you use it… you clearly feel there is an incongruency between your number and your situation, preventing you from relating as a human to people in the same situation. the real high iq take is that it’s meaningless in the sense you’re trying to derive meaning from it. there are so many dimensions of intelligence and humanity and The Good(TM) that aren’t reflected in a set of ravens progressive matrices badly tailored to match up with whatever the fuck “g” is. intelligence scientists are mostly just as midwit as the rest of the scientists, maybe worse because they’ve clearly got autism. do you really think slapping one number on a few cups of neuron soup that somehow has encoded everyone and every piece of creative work you’ve ever encountered is Meaningful. get real
I too think I am the smartest and most awesome and also dumbest and most contemptible. What is it that causes this? Are we actually awesome and just have insane standards and just forget how most people dont even come close to the point of us completely ignoring them? If true then i’d think thered be more external feedback to affirm this, no? given it’s general lack does that mean we are deluded in thinking we are the smartest and awesome? Are both poles just exaggerated? And we should just be evened out to average or maybe slightly above average? What is the correct metric to measure this by and am I even asking the right question?
Humility isn't about pretending you aren't something you are, it's about recognizing that your talents are gifts from God and should be used for the greater glory of God. It is also about recognizing that you are not ~better~ in some way for having been so gifted, and that those who haven't been gifted as much or in the same way aren't somehow less your neighbor, less deserving of charity, less human even because of that.
that's the bit that they (the socially conditioned diodes that bounce around your head, the social Other, the norm, the average) are trying to chase you from. the "oh yeah i mean the ubermensch is just a bit man, just something to aim at you know, just a little jig that you can extract a little value from, just read it as a bit, as a little joke"
if you can just tell yourself that you are that person, you become that person. selfnarration, internal monologue, all of this is cope. it is a decision, and that is all there is to it.
you sh o uld get over your big iq number it is giving you the brain damage

they keep saying things like “you’re a woman!” and “you’re neither blonde nor beastly” but i choose to ignore the haters and Transcend
did you ever get it checked out
turns out it was just some scar tissue, apparently, but to be perfectly honest with you im not 100% reassured
if it really worries you you should definitely check it out somewhere else, there have been too many close calls
Had a thing of it cut off and sent to a lab, I forget what it's called. But I'm keeping an eye on the situation
